We are celebrating our 40th anniversary!!

On Wednesday 13th , SALA RUSIÑOL celebrates 40 years of artistic journey. Four decades of turning art into a space for connection, emotion, and shared experiences. To commemorate this meaningful milestone, we wanted to pay tribute to an artist deeply connected to our history and to the cultural heartbeat of Sant Cugat: MIQUEL CABANAS I ALIBAU (1916-1995).
The exhibition The gaze that endures brings together a selection of previously unseen works created between 1979 and 1994, where we discover a Cabanas who was profoundly free, sensitive, and faithful to his way of understanding life: transforming simplicity into visual poetry.
Because Miquel Cabanas did not paint only what he saw; he painted what remains when one truly looks. And perhaps that is why his work continues to move us with the same delicacy today.
During the evening, we will also enjoy a very sweet surprise: master pastry chef Jaume Sabat will present a commemorative cake specially created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Sala Rusiñol.
This celebration is also a way of thanking all the artists, collectors, members, friends, and visitors who, throughout the years, have made this shared journey possible. Without you, Sala Rusiñol would not be what it is today.
The event will also include the presentation of the book that gives the exhibition its name.
We would be delighted to share this very special evening with you.
The event will be presided over by the city’s mayor, Josep M. Vallès.
We look forward to seeing you there!
