An emotional opening to honor Ramon Aguilar Moré

Sala Rusiñol experienced a truly special afternoon with the opening of the exhibition “From Movement to Line”, dedicated to Ramon Aguilar Moré (1924–2015), marking the tenth anniversary of his passing.
The event attracted a large audience, filling the gallery to pay tribute to one of the artists most cherished and closely connected to Sala Rusiñol. The presentation was given by his sons, Àlex and Marc Aguilar Vila, who shared personal memories, anecdotes, and reflections about their father. Their heartfelt words deeply moved those in attendance, who especially appreciated the warmth and generosity with which they recalled both Ramon Aguilar Moré’s artistic career and his more personal, human side.

Organized in collaboration with the artist’s family, the exhibition offers a journey through his artistic legacy with a carefully curated selection of representative works created between 1924 and 2015. The exhibition highlights the evolution of an artist with an exceptional career, who trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi and studied under Oleguer Junyent. Throughout his career, he maintained close relationships with renowned figures such as Salvador Dalí, Joan Josep Tharrats, Joan Ponç, Josep Roca Sastre, and Ignacio Iturria. In 1960, he was awarded the National Fine Arts Prize.
Ramon Aguilar Moré always maintained a very special bond with Sala Rusiñol, where he exhibited on several occasions, making this exhibition a particularly meaningful tribute for both his family and the gallery.
The exhibition will remain on view until November 25, inviting visitors to rediscover the work of an artist who made movement, line, and color his own distinctive visual language.
