L’Ignasi —a manera d’homenatge— va voler adreçar-se amb una carta oberta al nostre enyorat Francesc Galí (de l’Associació Internacional de Crítics d’Art). «Estimat Francesc: Estic segur que va ser la Providència qui et va portar a la nostra Sala en aquella primera exposició d’en Manel Bordallo, a l’estiu de 1986. Quin respecte que et tenia cada vegada que et telefonava o quan venies a aquelles primeres exposicions! Eres, per a mi, una persona misteriosa, intel·lectual, sàvia, intel·ligent, culta, intrigant, que coneixia tots els entrellats d’aquest particular món de l’art (…)».
Les paraules d’en Josep Mª Cadena, periodista i crític d’art, foren en primer lloc adreçades a nosaltres: «Aquesta exposició demostra el tarannà de la Sala Rusiñol: una actitud d’estar agraïts i contents pel que s’ha fet en vint-i-cinc anys. Heu participat de l’art procurant entendre les particularitats d’uns i altres». Una “sala” d’art, com és la Rusiñol, és lloc per a l’amistat i coneixença particularitzada entre pintors i admiradors.
