We have had a snack with KATERINA Alavedra-Duchoslav

The “Snacks in the Sala Rusiñol” project is an initiative that we started last season and with which we want to create an attractive experience for audiences of all ages. The objective is to foster interest and appreciation of art in children and adults, while we have a snack, as well as provide a space where they can learn and enjoy at the same time.

On this occasion we have had the second snack “Snack with Katerina Alavedra-Duchoslav” who is the artist of the exhibition we have at the moment.

While we had a snack, he told us about the most personal aspect of his work and we were also able to see a small sample of his technique live.

With this initiative we want to promote personal contact with the artist and the art gallery at a time like the current one when it is easy to get lost in virtuality. Likewise, personal contact can promote the understanding and appreciation of art since emotions, ideas and details that cannot be captured through a screen can be transmitted.

Aware that digital technologies and the Internet have expanded access to works of art through online platforms and virtual visits, they cannot completely replace the physical experience of seeing works in person.

This second snack has been a great success in attendance. Adults and children have had a pleasant time while learning.

We also want to thank the Criíms ice cream shop in Sant Cugat for their collaboration. The ice creams are great!
