Inauguration of the exhibition “Neighbors” by Tomàs Sunyol

On Thursday, October 7th at 7 p.m. you have an appointment at Sala Rusiñol.

Don’t miss this video because the artist personally invites you to the opening.

Sunyol will explain the reason for this new collection and art historian and critic Imma Pueyo will make a technical analysis of the work.

As Sunyol says in the video, the exhibition “Neighbors” is a journey through the street of his childhood and youth seen from two different angles. We anticipate that in the exhibition the street is seen from two different points of view:

The look in the foreground of the street: the neighbors, the open doors, proximity, complicity. The quick, intense and close look, everything to touch, close, everything very close, the direct and simple look of the young neighbors. Planes of intense and textured colors, oil paint on canvas or wood, surrounding doors full of life.

The perspective view of the street: the neighbors, the doors that face each other and the isolated doors. The distant, kaleidoscopic, complex gaze, the long, very long gaze of two eternal neighbors. Kaleidoscopes that compose streets painted in oil on canvas.
