Vernissatge de Mangot (11 juny 2010)
La Sala Rusiñol fa via envers el seu XXV Aniversari. En aquests dies hi va de la mà de l’exposició “Barcelona Brilla” de la Montserrat MANGOT. La seva força es palesa en la vivesa dels seus colors: «La pintura de Mangot és colorista de dins cap a fora; és a dir, el color el porta ella i el projecta sobre les persones i les coses que intensament s’estima» (de la ressenya d’en Josep Mª Cadena).
Tal com ja és habitual a la nostra Sala, l’artista que inaugura s’ofereix als protocols del món de la informació. Després de ser entristada pels diversos mitjans de comunicació de la ciutat, la Mangot es prestà de bon grat al perfil ràpid “4 apuntes de… Mangot” que li traçà el nostre col·laborador Joseph Hostench.
Admiradors? El vernissatge enregistrà una molt bona entrada. La Montserrat Mangot és una artista convençuda i enamorada de la seva obra, amb un estil qui li és propi. Les seves explicacions traspuen força. Això ho percep la gent i, en conseqüència, el públic respon… No sabríem com explicar-ho millor que aquesta imatge: cinc dels assistents, homes ells, escolten atentament l’artista.
L’Ignasi Cabanas, en la benvinguda a la Montserrat Mangot, aprofità l’avinentesa per a fer-se ressò d’un esdeveniment recent i important: pocs dies abans, en Josep Mª Cadena havia rebut a Barcelona l’homenatge del Gremi de Galeries d’Art de Catalunya, en justa reconeixença per la seva veterana tasca en favor de l’art i la cultura.
La Montserrat Mangot exposava per segona vegada a la Sala Rusiñol. L’Ignasi Cabanas li agraí la seva presència, així com també l’assistència de tants i tants seguidors de la pintora. Mai s’havia fet una presentació de l’artista tan “sintètica” com precisa: «Montserrat, tu t’has adaptat a la Sala Rusiñol, i la Sala Rusiñol s’ha adaptat a tu». 
Josep Mª Cadena: «El títol de l’exposició respon exactament al seu contingut: “Barcelona Brilla”. Aquí hi ha un conjunt de quadres que la Mangot ha fet amb el coneixement que té de la ciutat, amb el seu amor envers alguns determinats espais de Barcelona; no com a ciutat tancada en ella mateixa, sinó oberta a moltes altres possibilitats. Una Barcelona que té els seus edificis, monuments… però que, sobretot, te persones que són actives, un cel que està sempre canviant i buscant altres cels, altres realitats».
D’en Cadena hem escoltat que els colors -de la mà dels artistes- sovint són quelcom més que colors. La pintura de la Montserrat Mangot, amb la mobilitat i el sentiment que traspua, és un d’aquests casos: «La recordo fa anys a la Sala Llorens de Barcelona. En certa manera, era una sala una mica fosca, però els quadres de la Mangot em van impressionar perquè donaven una llum interior, manifestació intensa de la seva voluntat d’arribar als altres (…). I és que les obres humanes no són exactament com es veuen, sinó que cal arribar a allò que amaguen en el seu interior». 
Després dels parlaments, un moment molt esperat: un quadre de la Magda Esterli era sortejat entre els més de cinc-cents visitants a la Sala Rusiñol en la Nit de l’Art del proppassat 29 de maig. Va sortir escollida la butlleta nº 221, el signant de la qual serà avisat per a poder recollir el premi.
Finalment, un altre sorteig. Ara es tracta d’una “nota d’art” de la Montserrat Mangot, sortejada entre els assistents al vernissatge. En la foto apreciem la peculiaritat i originalitat d’aquesta nota d’art: és una pintura de l’artista sobre una paleta! MÉS FOTOS DEL VERNISSATGE
