Vernissatge Ulpiano Carrasco (6 març 2015)
Aquesta és la segona vegada que presentem a la Sala Rusiñol una exposició d’Ulpiano Carrasco. Tampoc en aquesta ocasió ens deixa indiferents. La seva paleta i la visió dels paisatges de Cuenca són realment especials. Però a diferència de l’any 2011, avui ens acompanya la seva filla Elvira ja que l’Ulpiano tenia un compromís a París i no ha pogut arribar a temps.
Josep M. Cadena: “Amb les pintures de l’Ulpiano Carrasco podem dir que ja ha arribat la primavera. Tenim una exposició que ens anima en aquests moments difícils, perquè l’artista creu en la capacitat de creure de les persones, en l’alegria interior dels individus.”
Continua Cadena: L’Ulpiano no només ens mostra paisatges de Cuenca. Ell ha viatjat molt i això queda reflectit als temes urbans que podem veure en aquesta exposició on és remarcable l´ús dels colors fluor. Clara mostra de la seva internacionalitat és que fa ja un temps em van demanar un article per una exposició que havia de fer a Saigon. “L’Ulpiano m’ha fet també internacional sense saber-ho!”.
En aquest moment l’Ignasi Cabanas passa la paraula a L’Elvira Carrasco, filla de l’artista: El meu pare és un geni. A banda del meu pare també és el meu mestre. M’ha ensenyat moltíssimes coses ja des de ben petita. Sempre m’animava a pintar “Elvira, tu pinta el que vulguis” em deia. Fins i tot em feia retrats. La seva obra ha anat evolucionant al llarg de tots aquests anys, des dels colors foscos dels anys 80 fins la força del color a “Tempus Fluor”.
