Vernissatge Piotr Perski (3 juliol 2015)
Avui us presentem un artista polonès, en Piotr Perski, que encara que exposa per primera vegada de forma individual a la Sala Rusiñol, molts de vosaltres ja vau poder gaudir de les seves obres a l’exposició col·lectiva que vam presentar per Nadal. Després d’aquell inicial contacte hem pogut oferir-vos aquesta interessant exposició amb la que clourem la temporada 2014-2015
En Piotr fa 15 anys que viu a Barcelona i està acabant el seu doctorat en Belles Arts. Per aquest motiu ens acompanya José Mª Barragán, Doctor a aquesta Facultat, i que és un dels professors que dirigeix la tesi que en Piotr està preparant. Creiem que ningú millor que ells ens pot parlar de l’artista i el seu treball.
José Mª Barragán: M’agrada molt el títol d’aquesta exposició “Mirades” perquè ens fa pensar que la mirada té a veure amb l’experiència de veure, amb l’experiència de mirar, de ficar atenció. “Mirades” és mirar, viure l’experiència i deixar constancia en algun lloc.
I continua Barragán: Piotr necesita l’experiència del natural. Hi ha artistes que pinten a l’estudi, de fotografia, però ell necesita l’experiència d’allò que està veient: núvols, muntanyes, edificis… Al seus quadres veiem la seva mirada, la seva experiència, i el que és més important: la vostra experiència. Es tracta de què quan mireu un quadre d’ell tingueu l’oportunitat de recuperar la vostra experiència. Darrera de la bellesa, o no, cal que us doneu l’oportunitat d’experimentar allò que us suggereix.
Finalment arriba el torn de l’artista, qui agraeix a la galeria l’acollida que ha rebut a Sant Cugat. Tot seguit s’inicia el torn de preguntes d’entre les quals hem volgut rescatar-ne una: “Hi ha quadres realitzats sobre un suport que no és tela sinó una mena de fustes estranyes, fustes molt velles. Aixó és premeditat?” I en Piotr respon: “Tinc moltes fustes guardades, algunes de més de dos-cents anys, fustes que preparo i guardo fins que trobo el tema adequat per recuperar-les. També algunes fustes que faig servir com a paletes i després passen a ser quadres”.
