Vernissatge Pedra (13 gener 2017)
Divendres, 13 de gener del 2017. Un fred que pela! A la Sala Rusiñol tenim la primera inauguració de l’any (que no de la temporada): “Víctor Pedra, un cant a la vida”.
L’esmentat fred ha blocat a Lleida l’artista autor de les obres que admirem. Amb tot, el seu “Cant a la vida” ens el fa ben present: és inconfusible.
És la segona vegada que en Víctor Pedra exposa a la Sala Rusiñol. Des d’aquella primera vegada han transcorregut força anys (era el 2004). La Sala Rusiñol ha recuperat aquell ambient quasi-màgic, oníric, fantasiós típic d’aquest pintor i escultor.
Després de la salutació inicial de l’Ignasi Cabanas, en Josep Mª Cadena fa el millor que pot. El “maleït” fred li ha robat la veu. El seu parlament ha estat concís i, alhora, precís. Malgrat les grips i els refredats, en Josep Mª tenia la «il·lusió de parlar d’en Pedra. És un autor singular. Ell mateix organitza la “música” al voltant de l’obra».
Efectivament, una mena d’elements i d’històries —peixos i animals més o menys fantasiosos; fruits com ara pomes, llimones; coses com escales, gerros, trapezis— envolten la figura femenina representada amb un estil “picassià”. Tot conflueix envers unes composicions que només poden tenir lloc en la imaginació i en els somnis. Realment, l’atmosfera que traspuen aquestes obres és un “cant a la vida”.
És palès l’entusiasme i inspiració d’en Cadena davant l’obra d’en Pedra: «L’univers pictòric de Víctor Pedra és oníric i profundament simbòlic. L’artista associa aquest altre món al que no hem de renunciar amb la Natura. El sol proporciona la millor escalfor que hi ha després de les carícies humanes, les palmeres ens atorguen la seva ombra… A la vegada, rius i mars ens conviden al viatge; tot i que, si sabem usar la imaginació, no necessitarem moure’ns i en tindrem prou amb un vaixell de paper per a anar a tot arreu» (de la ressenya d’en Josep Mª Cadena).
