Vernissatge d’en Manel Doblas (8 gener 2010)
La Sala Rusiñol, com qui diu, ha estrenat el 2010 amb l’exposició “Realismes contemporanis“, d’en Manel Doblas. Realismes contemporanis, però -diríem- amb nostàlgies del passat: vies de tren que suggereixen la rapidesa de la contemporaneïtat, però vies i estacions tal com l’artista els recorda de la seva infantesa i jovenesa. Malgrat que no tot són vies… VIDEO del vernissatge [1′:23”].
L’Ignasi Cabanas, director de la Sala Rusiñol, dóna la benvinguda a tots: a l’any 2010, a l’artista i als assistents a la primera inauguració de l’any que inaugurem. Manel Doblas és la segona vegada que està a la Sala Rusiñol. Ha experimentat un notable canvi de temàtica: no és en debades que ha estat dos anys treballant aquesta obra que ara admirem.
Com ja és habitual en ell, en Josep Mª Cadena contribuí a caldejar l’ambient, que era molt fred (si més no, al carrer). Explicà la idea que aquestes obres suggereixen una mena de paral·lelisme amb el que és la vida: aquestes vies ens fan pensar en els distints camins que ens trobem al llarg del recorregut de la nostra vida. És inevitable: «Hem de recórrer un d’aquests camins».
En Manel Doblas va dir sentir-se especialment content d’aquesta exposició seva. El tema de les vies i estacions de tren s’esdevé de records de la infantes: «Jo vaig arribar l’any ’62 en tren a Barcelona, a l’Estació de França. Aquests quadres també recorden l’època d’estudiant, durant la qual vaig viatjar molt en tren i vaig tenir que esperar mostes hores en les estacions».
Manel Doblas viu en un entorn natural, malgrat que no se serveix d’ell per a inspirar la seva obra. Aquest ambient, tot respirant serenor, el disposa per afrontar els seus temes urbans (New York, Madrid, Barcelona…). El pintor tingué un record per al nostre enyorat Francesc Galí: «És un àngel que tinc al cel». 
L’Ignasi Cabanas fa una síntesi final dels diversos aspectes de l’obra i persona de Manel Doblas que hem escoltat, i li agraeix el notable esforç de preparació per aquesta exposició. «Donem pas, ara, als sorteigs habituals de les nostres inauguracions…».VÍDEO DEL VERNISSATGE [1′:23”]
