Vint-i-cinc anys —que llargament hem celebrat— més un altre any (que molt volant ha passat) fan els 26 Anys que avui compleix la Sala Rusiñol. Per a la gran ocasió, també un gran pintor: en Lluís Roura, amb l’extraordinària exposició que té per títol “Les Quatre Estacions” (en directa al·lusió als seus quatre grans quadres que porten en conjunt aquest mateix títol). Amb tota raó ha apuntat en Josep Mª Cadena: «Mai s’acaben els paisatges coneguts quan aquests s’han interioritzat i es porten dins com veritables mostres d’identitat creativa».
Ignasi Cabanas: «Agraïm la presència entre nosaltres d’en Lluís Roura: un pintor extraordinari, fill adoptiu de l’Empordà. Tenim avui l’honor, la gran sort de poder celebrar els nostres 26 Anys amb ell. M’heu de creure: portar-lo aquí és quelcom extraordinari, ens ha costat llàgrimes, suors, plors, nits sense dormir…, és terrible, és terrible! Llavors, quan arriba aquí, t’ho fa capgirar tot. Li ho permetem perquè com en Lluís Roura no n’hi ha cap més: és dels pintors que ha de quedar com mostra de la seva generació, del que han fet tots els grans pintors de la seva època…. Això s’ha de celebrar amb la porta ben oberta!».
Josep Mª Cadena: «Bona tarda a tothom i bona tarda a l’Empordà!, ja que allí tenen la sort de tenir en Lluís Roura. Cada dia, quan ens llevem, ens traiem la son de sobre, ens mirem al mirall, i diem: —Això s’ha d’arranjar. Bé, jo crec que l’Empordà cada matí es lleva i es diu: —Això s’ha d’arranjar perquè vindrà en Lluís Roura a pintar. Per què? Tots tenim uns llocs de naixença, de relació…, i també altres llocs que queden dins de la imaginació, dins del nostre esperit, perquè alguna vegada els hem vist. En Lluís Roura té aquesta retentiva que ha de tenir tot pintor: es va integrar dins de l’Empordà… i en les seves pintures veiem que l’ha fet seu».
Lluís Roura: «Agraeixo a la família Cabanas —la Victòria i l’Ignasi— que m’hagin escollit per a celebrar aquesta data tan significativa: els 26 anys d’aquesta galeria d’art. Jo també he volgut fer una aportació “diferent”: he portat “Les Quatre Estacions” aquí a Sant Cugat… També vull agrair al Sr. Cadena el seu magnífic parlament. Ell forma part de la darrera nissaga de crítics d’art. M’ha agradat molt l’escrit que ha fet per al catàleg, perquè parla d’aquesta cosa externa del paisatge, però també ha parlat molt d’aquesta intimitat de l’ànima del paisatge, vinculant-ho una mica a l’espiritualitat que visc i que incorporo, marcada particularment pels meus nombrosos viatges a Terra Santa…».
«L’exposició es basa en “Les Quatre Estacions”. Abans, el Sr. Cadena parlava de coses que no valorem quan les tenim, com la salut, que la valorem quan ens falta. Quan vaig pintar aquests quatre quadres de les quatre estacions, jo em veia molt gran, però quan ho recordo resulta que tenia només 35 anys: era una criatura! Em quedo sorprès de la força i energia que tenia aleshores. “Les quatre estacions” va ser una mena de síntesi de l’Empordà. Jo, en el fons, durant casi tot l’any pinto les quatres estacions. La meva feina és sortir amb el cotxe, faig kilòmetres i paro el cavallet allí on trobo la llum… Aquesta energia te la dóna la pintura. Tot plegat m’ha complagut molt poder-ho portar aquí a Sant Cugat».
