Vernissatge d’en Kiku Poch (25 febrer 2011)

Amb una audiència que feia goig, en Kiku Poch s’ha estrenat a la Sala Rusiñol (“Paisatges viscuts”). Era la primera vegada i, al mateix temps, no ho no era, ja que hi planava a l’ambient com una mena de record… I és que en Kiku és fill de pintors: sense anar més enllà, la seva mare —coneguda com la Josefina Ripoll— és una veterana de la nostra Sala.

Particularment interessant resultà el perfil ràpid “4 anotacions d’en… Kiku Poch”. Ja en aquella estona sobresortí l’empremta artística familiar del pintor. També la percepció viva que, des de menut, interioritzà del paisatge mediterrani, percepció amarada dels records de les pesqueres que feia amb el seu pare a Menorca, amb una barca que es deia “Josefina”… No és en debades que l’exposició es titula “Paisatges viscuts”.
Josep Mª Cadena: «Mentre admirava els quadres d’en Kiku, un senyor m’ha dit: “Avui sí que m’agrada la pintura”. I és que aquesta és una pintura sentida. El pintor ha de saber el seu ofici i té l’obligació de reeixir a treure del seu interior els sentiments que li causen les coses. És el cas d’en Kiku Poch. Les obres d’avui descriuen una sèrie de coses que ell ha vist i que, sobretot, ha sentit».
A la Sala Rusiñol ens honora acollir nissagues de pintors. En aquest cas, «pintor i pintora foren els pares i també ho és, igual que ell, una germana seva. Però, tant el pintor Poch Romeu com la pintora Josefina Ripoll, obriren camins a cada un dels seus fills i cada un d’ells els seguí com millor el va semblar. Per això puc dir que Kiku Poch és plenament lliure en les seves interpretacions de la Mediterrània, i que la seva figuració és pròpia sense mai trencar amb el que afectivament l’envolta» (de la ressenya d’en Josep Mª Cadena).

En Kiku Poch tingué un sentit agraïment envers la Sala Rusiñol i les paraules del Sr. Cadena. «Aquí teniu una mostra del que faig, que és pintura figurativa: en sóc un gran defensor. Sembla que els temps de les ratlles… cada vegada queda més enrere i torna el figuratiu. I el que veureu són temes mediterranis: Mallorca, Menorca, la Provença, les illes gregues… Tots tenen en comú el Mediterrani, per la seva llum i color. Diuen que la meva pintura transmet alegria: desitjo que aquesta alegria arribi a tots vosaltres».

En el torn d’intervencions dels oients, s’hi avançà la mare del pintor. La Josefina Ripoll volgué remarcar que tota la família Poch ha tingut set de pintar i dels colors. I… a propòsit de colors, li preguntaren al pintor si tots els quadres estaven pintats a la mateixa hora, perquè tots tenen la mateixa llum romàntica i càlida. En efecte, respongué, molts dels quadres que veiem són de la darrera hora del dia: del capvespre.
