Within the figurative style, he is a classic one of the urban landscapes! Cities with the straight lines of their buildings, the strength of the colors and the balanced use of the collage technique come together harmoniously in this wonderful work. It is the 5th<\/sup>time that TENORIO exhibits at the Rusi\u00f1ol Gallery<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Cadena<\/b>, our art critic, usually glimpses human vitality, desires for progressing, social dimension\u2026 from the figurative representations exhibited in the Rusi\u00f1ol Gallery, whether about Nature, whether about cities. This interpretation is evident in front of \u201cUrbem viventium\u201d<\/i>: \u00abThe city cannot be like a bee hive without bees; the activity of citizens gives meaning to the city\u00bb<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>

In the same way that there are painters fascinated by Nature, our author prefers the huge skyscrapers of cement and steel, and asphalt\u00bb (from the writings of Josep M. Cadena)<\/span>.<\/span>

\"\"<\/span>Mr. Cadena\u00a0<\/b>has joked with the name of this artist: \u201cTenorio\u201d<\/b>. \u00abThis name remembers wildness, but he works!\u00bb, he said. Someone among the attendees did not see it clearly and asked if \u201cTenorio\u201d is his right name or a pseudonym. \u2014\u00abNo, no, my name is Juan Antonio Tenorio and, in addition, in my city (Malaga) people know me precisely as \u201cJuan Tenorio\u201d\u00bb<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span>The artist\u00a0<\/b>Tenorio has been particularly happy for two reasons. On the one hand, for exhibiting at the Rusi\u00f1ol Gallery \u2014there are already 20 years\u2014 is like \u201cplaying at home\u201d, he said. Secondly, this feeling has been reinforced by the wide presence of his friends and relatives in this vernissage. \u00abToday I would like to return to you all the time during which you have not seen me because I was focused on this work\u00bb<\/span>.<\/span>
