It was very successful! Now, with his \u201cLandscapes with sun and salt\u201d<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/strong> he transports us again to Menorca and other Mediterranean regions. This inauguration has also been acclaimed by people and successful. This exhibition has left a kind of explosion of light and color in our Gallery. We have entered into spring!.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/strong><\/strong><\/a><\/a><\/strong>\"\"<\/a>Mr. Josep M. Cadena<\/strong> often likes to begin talking about the \u201ccurrent status\u201d. Concerning the current moment, \u00abthe situation isn\u2019t good, but better than before\u00bb. For this reason, while admiring the beauty of \u201cLandscapes with sun and salt\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, he says that \u00abthis painting anticipates\u2026 If we have worries, and when we look at these paintings we are filled with feelings of gratitude and oneness with nature\u00bb.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/a><\/strong><\/a>\"\"<\/a>\u00abNature is always with us\u00bb but, at the same time, man participates in the creation: there are the boats, the houses\u2026 which are in the landscapes that Kiku paints. Cadena<\/strong> concludes saying that all this transmits a certain feeling of eternity. \u00abHere, you are so happy that time flies so fast that you don\u2019t realize it. Congratulations to the person who will win the art note at today\u2019s draw\u00bb.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/a><\/strong>\"\"<\/a>The artist is the son of the painters Poch Romeu and Josefina Ripoll. His father\u00a0 was a landscape painter and his mother prefers still life and flowers. Kiku<\/strong> \u2014with his highlighted figurative style\u2014 had his father as his master. He remembers all the times when father and son left to navigate with \u201cJosefina\u201d, the little boat that they had in Menorca. This fact marked him forever: \u00abI consider art as something that has to enter intuitively through the eyes and has to explain all things that we are seeing\u00bb.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/a>\"\"<\/a>Time for questions<\/strong>. \u2014\u00abWhy the calm sea?\u00bb<\/strong>. \u00abI like it! The sea is calm because the landscapes are not in open sea, and I get inspired in summer. Moreover, the calmed water reflects all things which are in its environment\u00bb \u2014\u00abIn which season?\u00bb<\/strong>. \u2014Spring and summer! Then the day is longer, the vegetation is lush\u2026 But, if there isn\u2019t vegetation, then I put it there!\u00bb. \u2014\u00abDo you paint in the open air or in the studio?\u00bb<\/strong>. \u00abEvery time I paint more and more in the studio. Few times in the nature!, for there are always people, because you feel hot or cold, the light moves, etc. The more I have learned, the more I have been able to interpret from photography\u00bb.<\/p>\n
