\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/strong>The new season has started with<\/em> Katerina Alavedra-Duchosla<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>w<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>\u2019<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>s<\/em> <\/em>exhibition<\/em> (\u201cLes Couleurs de ma Vie\u201d<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/strong> <\/em>is the title). Some authorities had joined Katia: <\/em><\/strong>the Mayor of our city, Ms. <\/strong>Merc\u00e8 Conesa, Ms. Susana Pellicer, Deputy Mayor of Citizen Services in Sant Cugat; Ms. \u00c0ngels Ponsa, Parlamentarian at the Parliament of Catalonia; Mr. Jaime Mart\u00edn, Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic and Mr. Roland Rietmann, General Consul of Switzerland<\/em>. <\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/strong> <\/strong>\"\"<\/a>Mr. Josep M. Cadena<\/strong>, delighted with the atmosphere: \u201cMany years ago, in cultural acts we were more than the attendees: here this is not the case! This fact reflects the importance of this artist and of her painting\u201d. From her beginnings \u2014the Czech Republic\u2014 Katerina was formed with a nationality and with some different ways of doing things. But she came to Catalonia and she has understood other nuances: \u201cIf she hadn’t come here, she would have been different, for every moment marks its characteristics. Through her paintings we see and feel the places of her life. This is a communicative, participative and exciting painting! I congratulate her now as I did four years ago!\u201d.<\/div>\n

<\/strong> <\/strong> <\/strong>\"\"<\/a>Ms. \u00c0ngels Ponsa<\/strong>, Parliamentarian at the Parliament of Catalonia, expressed her happiness for coming again to the Rusi\u00f1ol Gallery. She knew this Gallery when she was a city counsellor. \u201cI am going to talk about the K\u00e0tia who I have known for more than 15 years, when she inaugurated her first exhibition in the House of the Culture of Sant Cugat. Her growth is closely linked to our city\u201d. Ms. Ponsa highlighted three features of K\u00e0tia: very passionate for the task; very tireless in the work and transmitter of peace. \u201cI see all those reflected in her paintings!\u201d. Finally, Ms. Ponsa thanked K\u00e0tia \u2014aside from the passion for her country\u2014 for her integration in our city: this is an exchange which enriches all of us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/strong><\/strong> <\/strong>\"\"<\/a>After the thanksgiving, Katerina answered the questions of the attendees. The first question was about something very curious: \u201c\u2014If you paint with a sponge, how are you able to draw details so accurately? \u2014I also use some pieces of cardboard and for some corners I have to utilize a thin brush\u201d. Another of the attendees asked: \u2014I am very surprised to see a picture of Boss\u00f2st, a village of the Catalan Pyrenees! Why? \u2014I don\u2019t make anything without a personal bond: I have friends there\u2026\u201d.<\/div>\n

<\/strong> <\/strong> <\/strong> <\/strong> <\/strong>\"\"<\/a>The Mayor of Sant Cugat closed the act. Ms. Merc\u00e8 Conesa<\/strong>, first, highlighted the involvement of the city in the graphic arts. And she added: \u201cRusi\u00f1ol Gallery: you are an example because for many years you are working on that! This is an important task which merits recognition\u201d. Furthermore, Ms. Conesa asserted that the citizenship of Sant Cugat is open: \u201cMany people arrive here, from different cultures, but they find here a space for laying down roots and paricipating in our things. We like to share this interculture\u201d.<\/p>\n
