Inauguration of Marta Lastra exhibition “A place to get lost”

On Thursday, March 6, we inaugurated the exhibition of the artist Marta Lastra who, for the first time, exhibits in the Sala Rusiñol. During the presentation, and as seen in the previous image, we had the visit of the mayor of our city, Josep M. Vallès.

Marta Lastra builds the space with experience, takes photos, draws, paints, accumulates images. She uses different technical procedures and participates in all its expressive elements. She uses plastic resources such as the incorporation of collage or superimposed planes, while exploring the expressiveness of painting and the reality of photography.

The journalist and writer Alicia Falmes was in charge of talking to us about the work she presents at the Sala Rusiñol. Here we leave the entire video of the presentation where you can listen:

After the parliament, the artist, very excited, thanked all the attendees for joining her this afternoon.

There were many who filled the art gallery, among them, friends of the artist who traveled from Madrid.

It was an afternoon full of meetings and attendees discovered a very biographical work but at the same time very open to the observer recognizing themselves. A work full of color and textures where the artist deploys all the resources of current painting.

Here are some moments from the afternoon:

As always, once the speeches are over, we raffle off an original work among those attending. Here we have the lucky one:
