Opening CARME ALIAGA “Between the lines”

On Thursday 3 April we inaugurated the first solo exhibition that the artist Carme Aliaga presents at the Sala Rusiñol. The exhibition, entitled ‘Between the lines’, covers both her most recent works and those that mark the transition to her current stage.

In this exhibition, she explores the city as a metaphor for human complexity, a space in constant construction, posing new perspectives on the urban fabric, combining collage and sheets of paper to generate interactions between architecture and memory.

The cultural manager Susanna Gibert has been in charge of talking to us about Carme Aliaga, whom she knows in depth and, therefore, has been able to guide us through the artist’s journey over the last few years..

Here you have the video where you can follow the whole parliament:

The artist was accompanied by a large audience in which friends, family and followers of her work enjoyed a live performance of a work that invites us to reflect, to go beyond what we see, and not to remain in the literalness of the apparent.

Also, as is customary at the Sala Rusiñol, we raffled off an original work of art among the attendees. Here is the moment of the delivery to one of those present at the inauguration.
