Opening Enric Aguilar
On Thursday, March 10, we inaugurated the exhibition “The Baptism of Faith” by the artist Enric Aguilar.
Enric Aguilar presents, for the second time, an individual exhibition in our art gallery. As usual in his work, the sea stars in his canvases. It is a work that goes beyond what it superficially explains and is steeped in deep reflection.
As he himself says in the exhibition catalog: “Any representation where a person wants to express what he feels, what he lives, is an exercise in personal humility before the life that surrounds him and the acceptance that he must make of the totality of it , both in the joy experienced and in more bitter aspects of the human experience.
The acceptance and recognition of everything lived, whether or not it is pleasant, opens the doors of human and personal knowledge, where it offers us the opportunity that all people have to conform to what it is, or decide to change our internal perception and external facts to a better and more pleasant aspect of life more evolved.
The more knowledge that one acquires of human thought, discover how it works and, according to the beliefs of each person, you reach the final conclusion of certainty where one must acquire the capacity and the habit of abandonment with fullness. essence of the soul and let it show you and show you the way to know how to give light, peace, love and vitality in pictorial work. Thus, it becomes the sense of service to people, where it fills their hearts and spirits, constantly enjoying the work and the emotions experienced at all times, transcending all space and time.
It is for this reason that the title of the exhibition: «The baptism of faith», because with faith one unfolds the wings that allow one to live with humility true freedom and life to the full”.
The artist Lídia Masllorens, a personal friend of Enric Aguilar, spoke to the attendees about the work and the great technical knowledge, which is clearly evident in the exhibition, but especially highlighted its human facet.
A large audience applauded his comment as well as the live action that Enric Aguilar had prepared for us: with the smoke of a candle he drew a dove of peace that he later raffled among those present. Here we leave you some images.
In addition to the work he performed live, he also raffled, as usual, a note among the attendees. Here is the moment of delivery. Congratulations to the lucky ones!
