Vernissatge Katerina Alavedra-Duchoslav (5 setembre 2014)
Amb Katerina Alavedra-Duchoslav i “Les Couleurs de ma Vie”, arrenca amb força i color la nova temporada de la Sala Rusiñol. Gran expectació en l’acte, èxit de gent i assistència d’autoritats: l’Alcaldessa de la ciutat, Sra. Mercè Conesa, la Sra. Susana 
Pellicer, Tinent d’alcalde de Serveis a la Ciutadania; la Sra. Àngels Ponsa, Diputada al Parlament de Catalunya; el Sr. Jaime Martín, Cònsol Honorari de la República Txeca i el Sr. Roland Rietmann, Cònsol General adjunt de Suïssa.
En Josep Mª Cadena, content i impressionat per l’ambient: “Fa anys, en una sessió —no va desvetllar a quin lloc— érem més nosaltres que el públic: aquí no, aquí guanyen vostès!. Això reflecteix la importància d’aquesta pintora i de la seva pintura”. La Katerina, als seus orígens —Txèquia— ha estat formada amb una nacionalitat i unes maneres de fer, però ha vingut a Catalunya i ha copsat i integrat altres matisos. “Si ella no hagués vingut aquí seria diferent, perquè cada moment ens marca amb les seves diferències. La seva pintura ens fa entendre i sentir els llocs de l’itinerari de la seva vida. “És una pintura comunicativa, participativa i estimulant: la felicito igual que ho vaig ver fa quatre anys!”.
Àngels Ponsa, diputada del Parlament de Catalunya, manifestà la seva il·lusió per tornar a la Sala Rusiñol, que ja coneixia des dels seus anys de regidora de la ciutat. “Us parlaré de la Kàtia que jo conec, des de fa més de 15 anys, quan ella va inaugurar la seva primera exposició a la Casa de la Cultura de Sant Cugat. La seva formació està molt lligada a la ciutat!”. L’Àngels va voler destacar tres trets de la Kàtia: contagiosament apassionada per la feina; incansable en el treball i transmissora de pau. “Ho veig reflectit en la seva pintura!”. Finalment, li agraeix que a la seva passió pel seus país d’origen hi ha sumat la integració a la nostra ciutat, propiciant així un intercanvi que ens enriqueix a tots. “L’encoratjo per tal que segueixi contagiant-nos el seu talent”.
La Katerina, després de manifestar el seu agraïment, es va oferir a parlar del que li preguntéssim. Una pregunta versà sobre un aspecte tècnic força curiós: “—Si pintes amb esponja, ¿com és possible la precisió i la minuciositat de les finestres i altres detalls?. —Faig servir també trossos de cartró i en alguns racons haig d’usar pinzell”. Un altre del públic estava sorprès perquè li resultava molt familiar el paisatge d’un dels quadres… i consultant les llistes ha comprovat que era del lloc on estiueja: Bossòst! “—Com és això? —No faig res sense tenir un vincle personal: allí hi tinc uns amics…”.
El seguit d’intervencions va ser clos amb la paraula de l’Alcaldessa, Mercè Conesa. En primer lloc, va destacar la implicació de Sant Cugat del Vallès en les arts gràfiques. “Sala Rusiñol, sou un exemple: fa molts anys que hi treballeu! Aquesta és una feina important que mereix reconeixement”. D’altra banda, va afirmar que la ciutadania de Sant Cugat és oberta: “Hi arriba gent d’arreu, de cultures distintes, però hi troben un espai per arrelar i compartir les coses d’aquí. Ens agrada compartir aquesta interculturalitat…”.
