Vernissatge de Torrecilla (2 juliol 2010)
“Visions de natura” és el títol de l’exposició que Torrecilla ens presenta a la Sala Rusiñol. Un esclat de llum i color naturals omplen els murs de la galeria. Ja a l’entrada, el tapís de roselles fet amb els catàlegs de la mostra, ens donen idea del que trobarem un cop a dins.
Arriba el moment d’elaborar el perfil del pintor. El nostre col·laborador Joseph Hostench va saber aprofundir en la personalitat de l’artista. A través de les preguntes de “4 apuntes de… Torrecilla” ens va deixar palesa la seva sensibilitat i tarannà d’home i artista que, per sobre de tot, estima la natura.
El director de la galeria, Ignasi Cabanas, va donar la benvinguda a Torrecilla, artista que per primera vegada presenta la seva obra a la Sala Rusiñol. També va voler recordar el traspàs, el passat dia 25 de juny, d’en Josep Sala, artista de reconeixement internacional, molt vinculat a la nostra sala, amb qui vam commemorar el nostre XXII aniversari i qui també sentia profunda estima pel paisatge, en especial pels camps tarragonins.
El comentari crític de l’obra vingué de la mà de Josep M. Cadena qui molt encertadament construí un magnífic perfil de l’artista. “Torrecilla ens explica, a través de les herbes de marge, de la Naturalesa en constant lluita per a defensar i mantenir la vida de les coses petites, la força del que és la raó suprema de viure”. També va fer referència a la seva extensa trajectòria artística i va concloure “crec que el pintor ha evolucionat en positiu des de que vaig conèixer el que per a mi era un excel·lent començament de la seva obra”.
Un cop finalitzats els parlaments inicials, arribà el torn de l’artista. Les emocionades paraules d’agraïment vers els presents deixà més que palesa la sensibilitat de Torrecilla, el qual va manifestar que eren les seves obres les que parlaven per ell ja que són fruit dels seus més profunds sentiments davant el paisatge. 
Tot i les temperatures pròpies del mes de juny, dins la Sala Rusiñol, un més que nombrós públic seguia atentament el decurs de l’acte. L’altíssima assistència d’aquest dia ens dóna idea de la gran acollida de la mostra.
Arribat el torn de les peguntes van ser molts els assistents que es van animar a interrogar a l’artista, alhora que elogiaven la seva pintura. Vam descobrir que aquestes són obres de gran elaboració tècnica gràcies a la qual es fa possible l’especial ús del color i les veladures que caracteritzen les seves pintures. 
Entre un dels actes organitzats per la Sala Rusiñol durant el seu XXIV aniversari, va estar el del sorteig d’una obra de Magda Esterli durant la Nit de l’Art. La iniciativa va tenir un èxit aclaparador. Aquest és el moment en què l’artista fa entrega de l’original a l’afortunada, Cresi Berrocal.
Finalment el moment més esperat per tots els assistents: el sorteig de l’obra de Torrecilla. Els germans Guillem i Zelalem van ser els encarregats de dur a terme el protocol que donà com a guanyadors del quadre a Carme i Alexandre Samper. MÉS FOTOS DEL VERNISSATGE
